Scandion Oncology og Alligator Bioscience har i dag annonceret afslutningen af deres prækliniske forsøg med kombinationsterapi, som havde fokus på kemoterapi behandling med FOLFIRINOX.

Formålet med samarbejdet var at undersøge antitumoreffektiviteten af CD40-antistoffer mitazalimab, som et supplement til behandlingen med FOLFIRINOX kombineret med SCO-101.

Hypotesen, som blev testet, var at se om SCO-101 ville omvende kemoterapiresistensen og dermed give en øget effekt af mitazalimabs antitumoreffekter.

Scandion Oncology’s CEO, Bo Rode Hansen udtaler ifm. de positive resultater:

The feasibility study supported our hypothesis and opens the door for harvesting the value of this successful study with larger players. Both Scandion Oncology and Alligator have limited resources and our joint intention was to support the hypothesis, which now has been achieved. We remain committed to further exploring the potential of SCO-101 in immuno-oncology.

Kombinationsterapien med SCO-101, mitazalimab og FOLFIRINOX er mere potent end kombinationen af mitazalimab og FOLFIRINOX. Dataene understøtter, at Scandion Oncology’s SCO-101 tolereres godt i kombinationsterapi med kemoterapi og immunonkologi, og har en kraftig antitumor-effekt på lægemiddelsresistente cancerceller.
